Hunter
The Hunter is an archetype, drawn from the Mediaeval British motif of the Green Man. His nose and brow are the trunk and crown of a tree. His left eye darts to the chase, it fixes on its prey. His right eye holds back and surveys, it appraises the wider dangers and assesses the chances. He is the philosopher of the forest who rises with the dawn chorus and makes merry on whim. He is the carrier of the Pythagorean tradition of Action & Reflection.
The column beneath the face illustrates his debt to the Ancients with an Egyptian eye and hieroglyph. Approx. 41 cm height
